You sure never know what imagination and skills can bring with this badass build that’s the fastest of its own. It is a 2009 smart car fitted with Big-Block Chevy motor boosting its performance into something that’s record-breaking.

This beastly smart car is fitted with a 555ci Big-Block Chevy engine able to churn out 725 HP of power to the wheels. How the Big Block Chevy was stuffed in such a little car? Well, that remains a mystery ever since it first came out. This one actually started with a mild 462ci Big Block Chevy setup with full custom 8.50 certified chrome moly frame and Ford 9″ rear end. Now, several setup has been changed including the rims, rear end gear and the back spacing.

This ride recorded an impressive 11-second quarter mile drag run during it’s first setup. It was a work in progress since then and now sets a new world record of 9.96 seconds. This is a father and son project with their tandem still planning to do more adjustments to this smart car. And the engine and speed it’ll unveil next, sure remains to be another surprise.
